Ultrasound

A pregnancy ultrasound is used to create images of a developing baby and the pelvic organs of the mother during pregnancy. Ultrasound lets your doctor know how your pregnancy is advancing and is an amazing way for you to view the growth of your developing baby.

Colposcopy

A colposcopy is a follow-up procedure that is used to further investigate the cervix after an abnormal Pap smear result. A colposcope is a special microscope that magnifies the surface of the cervix to check for abnormalities. A colposcopy is relatively simple and painless. After a speculum is gently inserted through the vagina, the colposcope is used to view and take photographs of the cervix. Cell samples of suspicious areas may be taken for examination. Such a biopsy is necessary to correctly diagnose cervical cancer.
